For any emails client, inboxes, contacts and calendars are three major and default folders. The MS Outlook is one of the most prominent emails client having calendars contacts, inboxes, sent items, journal, as there default folders. Inboxes is used to save the mails, contacts for saving contact details whereas the calendars has the multiple use like scheduling, appointments, alerts, notes etc.

Such a wide utilization of calendars makes it more preferred by users and need to access it from any where they wish. As Outlook PST file is the main repository for all those calendars, inboxes, and data which Outlook has, the task is bit difficult when you have multiple PST files each having its respective calendar folder.

Merge Two Calendars in Outlook 2003!

The need to merge two calendars in Outlook 2003 arises when you have multiple PST files in Outlook 2003. As the 2003 creates a default ANSI PST files it has the 2 GB limitation for size. This enforces users to truncate PST files so as to minimize the size of PST files. Now, as every PST file has its own default folder from calendars, contact etc. synchronization of only calendars is complicated.

When you merge Outlook 2003 calendars together, the whole data in both the calendars in two PST files get combine into one folders and this folder is thus possible to merge into existing Outlook file quickly.

So far, the point become clearer that to synchronize, manage or transfer calendars from multiple PST files easily, merging is beneficial for you. Now the problem arises is how to merge two calendars in Outlook 2003 or 2007 or any version of PST file of Outlook.
