Often people are also warned that various kinds of chemotherapy many lower their natural defenses, thus they are warned against being around people with colds, and are told that they should have all their shots, including flu shots, long before undergoing chemotherapy. After chemotherapy is begun, various tests will be utilized by your oncologist to see if your tumor is responding to the chemotherapy.
