The paleo diet is a 10,000 years old diet that was eaten by the caveman. It broadly consists of naturally available food like fresh fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts, meat and fish. This diet strictly restricts the intake of processed food. It is believed that our body was designed to take in only natural food. It has not developed to the extent of consuming processed food. There are numerous advantages of paleo diet. Some of them are discussed below. 1. Stay slim – Since the diet consists of natural food that helps in burning fat, there is no worry of putting on weight. You can maintain your body weight. This way the problem of obesity can be checked. 2. No need to count the calories – In the paleo diet, you will be consuming only natural food and no processed food. Hence, no need to worry about the calories consumed. 3. Build your muscles - The muscles are improved by eating paleo food. Eating junk food leads to fat deposition in your body, which is eliminated in this diet. 4. Stay clear of diseases – Paleo diet helps in preventing various diseases like diabetes, heart diseases and also maintains the blood pressure. It also helps in the prevention of arthritis. 5.
