Dr. Shafa pictured with Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch In February of 2018 Dr. Shafa, traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to attend a meeting of the United Nations. Surrounded by those working tirelessly in the defense of the voiceless citizens of the world, Dr. Shafa observed and lent her own expertise in the formation of innovative solutions for the world’s human rights abuses. rnAmong those leading the charge for justice was Hillel Neuer, the Executive Director of UN Watch, a human rights organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Neuer is an international lawyer, writer, and diplomat who has given testimony to both the United Nations and U.S. Congress as an expert on human rights affairs. Dr. Shafa had the distinct honor of meeting with Mr. Neuer to discuss the most pressing issues of our time both for healthcare and the world in general. Dr. Shafa considers it a personal duty to give voice to these individuals. Her passion, especially, is to give women agency in their own lives. The first step in this process is educating women, and really all individuals, about their own health and bodies.
