For example, you may be putting on an event, in a large space where, under normal circumstances, the room is an ambient temperature. However, when you add a few hundred or even thousand people into said room, the temperature soon rises uncomfortably.
Air cooling systems
In such circumstances, cooling systems are needed to cool the room and lower the temperature to a level that is once again comfortable for all inhabitants. This can be done in a variety of ways, but the most commonly used way is via cooled chillers which, as the name suggests, are chiller units that are cooled and so can pump out cool air to be circulated around a room.
These units are incredibly effective and efficient, meaning that your room of choice will be cooled quickly, without fuss, and using the least amount of power necessary for said task. They are perfect for cooling rooms large or small, without the need for any other help or use of other devices.
The systems
Air conditioning systems are an incredible invention. They can control and regulate the temperature of a room or space to an agreed temperature almost perfectly, all day and night if necessary. They are perfect for keeping a steady temperature in a fluctuating environment.
There are various parts to an air conditioning system, they are: The condenser section, refrigeration equipment, coolant expansion reservoir, the pipes, refrigerant, pumps.
Interestingly, depending on the size of the system, it can often chill up to four hundred tons of water. Such a vast amount of water from a cooling system is incredible to consider and just goes to show how incredibly well designed such systems are. In years gone by, the only way of cooling a room was to turn on fans and blow the stale warm air around the room. This would give the sensation of air cooling, but all it really did was recirculate old stale air.
Even further back in the past, the other option would be to open a window, which only really helped in allowing fresh air in, but if it was hot outside, it could even send the temperature of the room up if anything. So this was no real solution. Therefore people had to put their heads together and invent the air conditioning system that we know and love today. It has gone through many refinements over the years, until it reached the system we know today, that works so very successfully.
