HR Resources stands for Human Resources and is a phrase used to group the people that make up a workforce of a company. Some businesses even have their own sector dedicated to this, particularly the larger organisations where the team within this division may be quite big.

HR is simply the management of employees, ensuring that all of their human and employee rights and needs are met whilst during their working years. It looks after the welfare of each of these individuals and takes on a variety of different matters, such as employment benefits. This may include compensation after an accident or other issue, paid sick leave or maternity leave, educational funding, health insurance, pensions, increased pay, profit shares and various other things, such as company cars or mobile phones which some companies choose to offer. Some bosses also pay for their employee’s business expenses, such as travel and accommodation when working away from the office or base.

HR companies also deal with the recruitment side of things when looking for a new member to join the workforce and can arrange all the necessary paperwork and interview processes. They ensure that all laws and regulations within the company and the countries that they operate in are met fully. Their role is to advise and explain to employees about these to ensure they stick to them for their own sakes and the liability of the business.

They also deal with a number of different areas that help the company and employees. Organising design and development processes is one of these and helps to ensure the business is keeping on the right track to success. They can arrange training courses or extra tuition for employees who could benefit from this in order to improve their work.

Dealing with behaviour and misconduct is another of the roles of the HR sector to ensure the workforce is acting in a responsible way for the happiness and comfort of the other members. Keeping track of the performance of individuals is also vital to allowing the company to move the right way forward and meet any deadlines and targets set. They may set bonus reward schemes for those who do well and achieve high standards. It could include a pay rise or loyalty incentives, or even commission for new work they bring in. It can help to keep employees motivated and feeling valued by their bosses. There are various other reward schemes in place. HR sectors also deal with employee records and must uphold a high level of confidentiality.
