Nausea and vomiting is caused by wide variety of factors and one of the common factor is viral gastroenteritis. Nausea is the senesation of an urge to vomit or volient act which is causing the emptiness of the stomach contents through mouth. It is rarely serious or life threatening problem but are the symptoms of more serious diseases such as food poisoning, migranies,kidney, central nervous system disorder, brain tumors, heart attacks, and some form of cancer.
Vomiting is a forceful act by which the contents of the stomach come out contradiction of diaphragm muscle. Some saliva is produced before vomiting as it is a part of bodily reflex.
The causes of the nausea and vomiting are motion sickness or seasickness, emotional stress (fear), medication induced vomiting, gallbladder disease, intense pain, overeating, food poisoning, reaction to certain smells or odors, concussion or brain injury, ulcer, infections such as the "stomach flu" and early stages of pregnancy. Nausea occurs in approximately 50% to 90% of all pregnancies and vomiting in 25%-55%.

It is a medicine that increases the movements or contractions of the stomach and bowel. Use of this medicine is not recommended by FDA for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers as use of this medicine may harm the health of unbo

You should not take this medicine with other medicine as it may interact with it and may cause side effect. If you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine you should inform him about the medicine you are taking to avoid any side effect.
Dosage recommended fir this medicine in adults are 20 to 40 mg 3 to 4 times a day. Do not increase or decrease the dose og the medicine on your own. Domperidone should be taken half an prior to meals and 1 hour prior to breastfeeding for best results. As it is a prescription medicine so it should be taken as prescribe by the doctor. For better result take this medicine at the same time each day. Store this medicine at room temperature away from light, heat and moisture. Keep all medicines away from children and pet.
