The most common thing that people mention when talking about sleeping is snoring. rnWHAT IS SNORING? Snoring does not just happen at night. Actually snoring can happen anytime we sleep or nap. When breathing there is a slight sound or noise that emits from our air paths which is considered to be a regular and natural breathing pattern. Snoring is also said to be a result of a person's air pathways being larger than normal, this makes the tissues more prone to vibrate as compared to those who have a normal sized air passageway. We also produce regular breathing sounds when we are just sitting and breathing normally. rnTYPES OF SNORING There are many types of snoring that science has researched and studied. Snoring when lying on your back shows a mild problem and this is the most common type of snoring. It is the mildest and easiest to overcome. Snoring while your is mouth closed shows a problem with the tongue and this type of snoring maybe regarded as the tongue inflicted snore. rnMOST COMMONLY KNOWN CAUSES OF SNORING Asthma, sinusitis, and colds are known causes for snoring. Non smokers are not saved from snoring caused by smoking because second hand smoke is just as harmful as first hand smoke. The male hormone is one of the factors that causes people snore. A person who consumes too much fatty and oily foods can create a fat deposit around the air tracks and pathways and cause the throat to be rigid and thus constricts the air to flow properly. So when the air tries to pass through it creates vibrations and causes snoring to occur. rnCONTROLLED AND UNCONTROLLED FACTORS OF SNORING Some researchers say that there are things that we can do to control snoring and while others say that we cannot control snoring. rnWHAT FOODS CAUSE US TO SNORE? Vegetables are light on the tummy and are very healthy thus will prevent snoring. Dairy products can effect some people and may cause an allergic reaction. Take precaution when eating wheat. Sometimes over eating can cause snoring as well. rnTIPS ON HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT AND EATING HABITS TO AVOID SNORING Eating consciously should always be a priority as it can help prevent you from snoring in the future. Seeing junk food at the store, sends a message to your brain that whispers to you every so softly "these food are great and that you should buy them." But I'm here to tell you if you buy these junk foods you will most likely snore nightly. Cutting out the heavy dinners will help you to avoid snoring. It is quite hard to calorie count and fat count everything that we eat these days but being vigilant and aware of the amount of food that you eat for each meal is very necessary in helping you to prevent snoring. rnWHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SNORING SEVERELY? Another way to stop your snoring is to limit or minimize your alcohol intake just before your bedtime. If you snore while sleeping anytime of the day, this is known as having a serious or a severe snoring problem. When trying to stop your snoring, clear out your nasal passages will help as well.
