A perfect tourist destination and a perfect holiday getaway, Udaipur is a city that has it all. Be it families or kids, honeymooners or students, Udaipur city has everything to spellbind the minds of everyone. This is the reason why Udaipur tourism is booming day by day. By road- Udaipur can be reached by road and has many deluxe, semi deluxe or super deluxe services to and from the city connected with all the nearby major cities like Jodhpur (5 hours), Delhi (11 hours), Jaipur (8 hours), and Ajmer (6 hours). By rail- All the major cities of India are connected with Udaipur via the rail transport system. Trains like Chetak express and Mewar express connects Udaipur with Delhi. There are other trains too that connects Udaipur with Jaipur, Ajmer, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhopal etc. Another very luxurious and popular train in India called the Palace on Wheels also halts at Udaipur. By air- an airport in a satellite location from Udaipur called Dabok airport is situated around 20 kilometres away. Daily flights from Udaipur to cities like Jaipur, Delhi, and Mumbai also commute. Local transport: The facilities for local transport in Udaipur are also manifold. This has made Udaipur tourism very easy and simple. Unmetered taxis, Tongas, auto rickshaws and other bus services ply on the roads of Udaipur making the Udaipur Tourism all the more easy!
