Whey Protein, a byproduct produced during the process of making cheese from cow milk, is being marketed as a dietary supplement. Used as protein supplements, it has been found helpful in increasing lean body mass and strength in men. The form of whey proteins pretreated and hydrolyzed for easier metabolism is hydrolysate.
