For the second consecutive time, Verizon Global Wholesale has been presented with Metro Ethernet Forum's Best Wholesale Ethernet Service Award for Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The annual award is arbitrated by an independent council of senior industry analysts, and is given to the provider they believe offers the most comprehensive wholesale service that expands the scope of Ethernet services to clients.
This is not the first time that Verizon Global Wholesale has received a prestigious award and been recognized as a leader in the industry. In 2010 VGW was given the same Best Wholesale Ethernet Service Award for Africa, Europe and the Middle East as well as North America; and was also granted the 2011 North American Growth Leadership of the Year award in the carrier Ethernet market by Frost & Sullivan.
This second win (which was declared in Amsterdam on October 12th at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress) recognizes Verizon Global Wholesale’s leadership and excellence in the marketing, development, and delivery of regional carrier Ethernet services as well as its broad suite of products.
Verizon Global Wholesale marketing director, Matthew Duckworth, attributes the knowledge and power the company has in the Ethernet industry as being established on its capacity "to meet the growing demand for carrier Ethernet services" on an international level, adding that the 2011 award bestowed to them demonstrates VGW's dedication to push customer satisfaction and quality of its "wholesale Ethernet services.”
