As soon as a person is contacted for an interview, it's only natural to experience an overwhelmingly amount of excitement, but beware, an interview doesn't necessarily mean that you've snagged the job. The interview is actually only the beginning - and it's the most important. It's where you and your potential employer have a chance to interact. Your employer asks you questions, and you answer. Sounds simple enough, right? Not necessarily. Given below are some of the most commonly asked "trick" questions and how to answer them, correctly of course.

1. Who is Your Role Model? - This may or may not be considered a "commonly asked" interview question. However, you're likely to hear it sooner or later. Think long and hard before answering this question with the name of a famous celebrity or pop singer, as employers are interested in knowing that you look up to someone who possesses all of the qualities of the position you are applying for.

1. Where Do You See Yourself Five Years From Today? - The last thing your employer wants to hear is that you want to be employed by another company. Before answering this particular question, be sure to do your research on the company you're being interviewed by. If you really want the job, tell them that you see yourself working at a higher position within the company, well established, and secure.

1. How Long Do You Plan to Work For Us? - Of course, all hiring managers want to hear that you plan to stay for a life-time. However, lying doesn't get you anywhere either. There is really no way to know precisely what the company you're being interviewed by is looking for, so it is best to be honest. Tip: If you're applying for a position with a larger corporation, it's best to plan to stay for a while. Likewise, if it is a part time position as a telemarketer or cashier at a grocery store, it's safe to say less than three to five years, particularly if you have other plans.

1. How Would Your Friends Describe You? - It's easy to let out an almost immediate chuckle when asked this question - try not to. Your employer wants to know about your good qualities only. For example, if you're a bit of a character, state that you're outgoing and work well with others. If you're more of an introvert, state that you're a deep thinker, highly analytical, and are always planning ahead.

1. What Are Some Things That Really Bother You? - All of your answers should be job-related. For example, you could say that you become uncomfortable when you feel as though not all employees are contributing 100 percent. You could also say that it really annoys you when someone treats another individual unfairly.
One of the biggest mistakes that people make is not taking the interviewing process seriously. Your interviewer may use a series of psychological tactics to trip you up, but rest assured that they are only doing their job and attempting to find the best candidate for the position being offered. So remember, if you want the job, take the interviewing process seriously, remain honest, and be sure that all of your answers are somehow related to the job applied for.
