As we go through life we sometimes become aware of Anxiety and Tension within the body. These can have their roots in the mind, body or the human group psyche.
As we advance on the personal development path and open up our awareness, we start to become aware of these more subtle aspects of our Self.
We become more aware of our feelings and our physical health. We learn how to scan through our body with our awareness, being sensitive to any tension we may be carrying around with us.
Gentle physical exercise can be helpful in getting our energies flowing again; or we may use simple Yoga stretching to release any knots of tension in our shoulders or neck.
We can also work on the inside, identifying any negative thought patterns and consciously choosing to replace these with more life-supporting thoughts and feelings; and extending this process of positive thinking to bring in an element of Self-love, respect and gratitude for the miracle which we are, in our human body.
Anxiety is a very subtle feeling, an awareness or faint feeling of unease. It is important to become fully conscious of these subtle feelings and emotions and consciously breathe into them.
Bringing these to the conscious mind allows us to review them; to ask ourself, is there an event in my life which I can associate with these feelings? Or are they part of the group human experience – a deep-seated fear which has no tangible basis in this moment of Now?
As we become fully conscious of these feelings and emotions we can see they are not relevant to the "Now" moment; release, relax and let them go. As we do this, we also relax our physical body.
We can also use the imagination to ground our energy field. Just by consciously visualizing roots growing out of our feet into the ground we can form a link between our body's energy field and the Earth. We can then ask, using our inner voice, for all the stale energy to be grounded down into the Earth via the roots we have created with our imagination.
We can also reverse this process by imagining ourselves drawing up from the earth fresh, revitalizing energy full of life, love and happiness. Using our imagination we can feel our internal batteries being charged up by this process.
When we feel ourselves fully charged and vibrant, we draw up the roots and go about our daily activity. The difference is, we now feel good within ourselves and because we are relaxed, life just seems to flow that little bit easier.
We may find more synchronicity, where the whole Universe seems to be supporting our every thought, word and deed.
