Are Moving Pods Right For You?

Lots of different companies for storage, moving companies, and rental trucks paint the net competing for business. Sometimes you can feel like you're drowning in information. Especially if you are in the process of trying to get something done, and researching on the fly. Everything starts to look the same. But moving pods are unlike the rest.

Sometimes you need something more than a packer, or a big Ryder truck. Sometimes you need time and flexibility. Neither a rental truck or a group of burly movers can offer you that. But the pod units can.

Deciding your strategy is a good start. If the move is easy, and you think you can do it with a few friends, go for it and forget the pod. But, if that isn't the case and you actually need something with a more permanent storage option, and not just to transport from point 'A' to 'B', it might be worth checking into further.

It's not a pleasant conversation when your sweetie gently informs you that your car collection has to go, and a room for her mother is taking its place! You want to know that at least when the time comes, there will be no excuses not to get your room back. And with a portable storage unit, you can rest assured.

Remodels are no longer overwhelming to start. With the pods being transportable, you don't have the worry of where to store your furnishings for the short term. You can keep them on site, if you choose. This makes pods a practical solution for some. They are the only storage units you can do this with!

Begging your co-workers to help move, volunteer their vehicles, or man power are no longer an issue. And no, renting a truck by the hour or day is no longer the only choice. Just contact your local pod company and make arrangements. It's as simple as that.

There are a few instances I can think of where pods may not be the best option. There isn't any assistance with packing and stacking. No tough guys on hand to lift that heavy box or couch. Also, you do have to arrange for your pod pick up, as opposed to just leaving with it when you feel like it. This is a pretty minor trade off however, and with any amount of planning doesn't have to be a deal breaker.

So basically, you just need to plan how you want your move, or project to go and evaluate whether moving pods will help you get there. They may not be right for you, but they may. And in the event that they are, they could be a big help in the process.
