Are you showing the world who you really are, or are you hiding your true-self in order to fit in and be accepted? Are you living your life as an original or as a copy? When we choose to be authentic, we show the world our natural, unpainted, genuine self. We comfortably share who we really are with those around us. We honestly and openly share our personality and respond to life in harmony with who we feel we are deep down inside. We follow our heart toward our dreams and desires and live by our own morals and standards. Like a light shining in the darkness, we allow others to see us wholly and completely, using our distinctive strengths and talents in our work. Some would refer to us as “real”. Living authentically makes us feel alive and connected to all that is, whether seen or unseen. Unfortunately, many of us do not choose to be who we really are. We hide behind masks and disguises protecting our true self from the world. We adapt to the world around us, changing our true colors for the sole purpose of being accepted. Instead of being authentic, we show others what we think they want to see. We conceal all that we are - our passions, our dreams, our desires. We never speak our true thoughts or feelings but instead say what we think people want to hear. Living this way makes us feel empty, sad, depressed and disconnected not only from our true self but from the seen and unseen world. The true value in being yourself automatically allows ease and flow into your life. You will no longer have to struggle in any sense of the word. Your life will begin to flourish and you will begin to see the manifestations of all that you want and desire. Most importantly, you will be truly happy. We all know when we are not being who we truly are because we do not feel good. Being someone we are not leaves an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of our stomachs. If you are not living your own life, it is time to make the necessary changes so that your true personality, passions, and talents come back to the surface! If we would all make the effort to be who we really are, not only would it make our own lives better, but it would make the lives of those around us better! We would then be living in a joyous and loving world!
