Are you Contagious?

People around us will intentionally or unintentionally pick up things from us (from our behaviour, our words, our expressions, our connections with other people). Children are a prime example of this. They are very quick to pick something up from adults around them. I believe that it is purposeful to always be open to gaining and learning from other people. Having said that, what we choose to pick up from others, is purely at our discretion. I believe that we can be influenced by the negatives and positives in every individual.
Bob Proctor said that the universe is home to the Law of Polarity (negatives and positives in everything and everyone). So, when I pick up things from others, the Law of Polarity allows me to choose what I can learn or gain from a person. This is a conscious choice of mine.
Sometimes, we may not realise what we gain from others. Therefore, it is every responsible person’s choice to make sure, what they pick up from others is to their advantage, and it serves them in a positive way.
Some people are naturally contagious, their attitude or behaviour (in a positive sense) will be very catchy to people around them. The goodness in them rubs off on people around them. I find this to be a good thing, as long as it works in a positive manner.
Three years ago, I made a decision to undertake an experiment. Well, this experiment has turned out to be a permanent fixture in my life now. I made a pact with myself that every morning when I take my beautiful dog for a walk, I will say ''good morning'' to everyone I cross paths with. I found this ‘experiment’ to be a lot of fun. I was just intrigued to see what people’s responses would be.
Well, three years down the track, the ‘experiment’ continues because it gives me a great deal of joy to greet people with a positive approach so early in the morning! What I discovered is that if I approach someone with something positively catchy, such as a smile and a greeting, majority of the people responded positively. Of course, there are some people who wish to be left alone that early in the morning whether they are power-walking or taking their dog for a walk. And I respect their space. For those who smiled back at me or said good morning to me, it says something about them. These people are open to something positive from others (even if it is a total stranger).
In certain cases, I have had people stop me and start a conversation (be it about the weather or my dog or any other subject matter). To me, it is a great start to the day when I can spread something positive such as a smile or a friendly greeting to others. And, now it has got to a stage where I enjoy doing it.
When we become positively contagious, it serves others as much as it works for us. We embody and radiate a certain energy which people are drawn to. We are helping others, and in the process we are helping ourselves as well.
If you are open to it, I encourage you to please undertake a similar ‘experiment’ that I did two years ago, and see what sort of a response you gain from others.
Please review yourself by answering the questions below:
*What type of impression do you leave on people?
*Are people likely to be influenced by you, for the better?
*How would you like to ‘leave your mark’ on others?

“Weight-Train” Your Brain
I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
