Are You Getting Enough Attention From the Person You Love?
Are you getting enough attention from the person you love?
Sometimes it happens that you put in more love and energy into a relationship than the other person. You send more SMS's, emails, make more calls, arrange more meetings, etc.
The other person, and in this case let's assume that it is your partner, say "Jack", puts in much less effort and when you demand more attention, Jack pretends as if he does not understand what you mean, because he is giving it all that he's got, which in your estimate is not enough.
What should you do?
1. Stop asking/fighting for it?
2. Ask more, fight more?
3. Pretend that all is okay? And that you are the one who is being unreasonable in even wanting more attention?
4. Find someone else?
From the above options, what approach suits you the most?
The person who is not giving you enough attention is probably pushing your buttons and you are reacting, feeling insecure.
Your self-worth is getting hurt and it does not feel good to be in that relationship.
Here is a question for you. How is your relationship with your SELF?
Do you stand in front of the mirror and praise yourself?
Do you buy yourself a massage and other nice things?
Are you your own Valentine?
Do you go to the gym and keep your promises of eating right?
Are you happy?
Everyone else is a mirror to you. How you treat yourself matters. Try this for some time and you will find that your universe changes to keep up with you and show you how beautiful and special you really are.
Love yourself completely.
I'm not talking about being selfish. As you love yourself more, you will have more love to give others. A lot of people equate loving oneself to being self centered and uncaring of the world. This is not true as more harm is done when you constantly seek love and approval from others, rather than loving yourself first.
Many spend time taking care of everyone but themselves, and find that this is not returned to them as they are just taken for granted. As you take better care of yourself, it reflects in your energy and is felt by others. They then start to take better care of you. Your soul should be your best friend first. In your soul's aura, is contained everyone else, who then become your best friends also.
Establish the best relationship with your SELF and watch the world change around you.
Love and light
