I’m talking about all the infomercials about weight loss pills and special dumbbells, a certain piece of equipment that will make all the fat go away. Three minutes of this will give you a body as tight as a stretched rubber band with visible abs that would make any fitness pro jealous. Here’s the kicker, you don’t have to give up any foods, and you can eat whatever you want if you just take this pill.
I see these ads and I just quiver with anger that someone out there is buying into it and spending their money on the junk. Here me now, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DIET PILL OR SPOT REDUCTION!! Sure you can take a fat burner and lose some weight. I can also sit in a sauna and lose some weight but it will come back and bring some friends along for the ride. Weight loss isn’t what you after. You’re after FAT loss and believe me there is a difference. Weight loss can be fat, muscle, or fluid; but fat loss is FAT. That’s what makes the body composition change, the jeans fit looser, and the body look toned. Weight loss gives you nothing but a smaller number of the scale. Who cares about that? I mean do you wear the number on your back like a football player wears it on his jersey? Is it something you have to write down on a job resume?
What is the hang up about the scale? I have worked with a lot of women in my business and they are all obsessed with the scale weight. I mean, it sets the mood. If it goes up, their depressed, if it goes down their in a fantastic mood. This isn’t the only tool to use. Check out how your clothes are fitting, your energy level, your inches using a tape measure, and your body fat composition. They are all pieces of a puzzle that need to be used together to get a clear picture of what is going on.
After all, I have never heard a woman tell me their fitness goal is to be a stick! We’re all after basically the same thing, a healthy fit toned body and you cannot get that by losing weight, you gotta lose fat and maintain the muscle. So please stop giving into the insane claims that you hear. Sure so and so down the road lost 30 lbs in 1 month taking some pill, but let me know in 6 months how she’s doing with that weight loss story. I promise you little miss so and so will be looking for a new quick fix to lose the 40 she has now packed on. Hear me now; the only way to lose body fat is through diet and exercise. Now, hold on a second, while we’re at it let’s get away from the “D” word. Diet is not a bad word, it is simply referring to the way one eats, and it doesn’t mean deprivation or broccoli and bland chicken like it has turned into. I don’t believe in deprivation nor bland food. I happen to LOVE food and all kinds of it. I don’t feel deprived in any way shape or form.
I simply know how to eat healthy to maintain optimal health. I do it by eating frequently and preparing balanced meals full of variety and I never go hungry. In fact, I bet I eat more meals than you do on your no carb, no fruit, no taste bland liquid diet. Let’s stop allowing television to dictate what we do with our bodies, they are promising you nothing but lies that no one can possibly maintain. There are no short cuts to true health but there are fast ways to weight loss. Which do you really want a smaller scale weight today and a big rump tomorrow or a slim, healthy, toned body forever? You decide……..

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; it’s therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract. True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThat’s where precision-based training, such as re
