I would like to think that with all my years of teaching, I have become centered in my life. I believe my spirituality has grown immensely since I started on this jou
ey.
Now the question becomes am I all that I can be. After reading Promise Yourself I feel like I have a ways to go. We can never settle, and say I have come far enough. I am still better tha
I used to be. Is this all you want for yourself.
I know for me it is not enough. I know that when I am feeling centered and doing what God or the universe wants, which is to see perfection in everything and to Love those I come in contact with. Then and only then do I feel whole and at peace.
Why would I want to give this feeling up. But I am not there as often as I would like. I do fall short occasionally. What about you.
Read this poem and see how it touches you. Meditate on it and see how it fits into your life. See if maybe you need to change a part of your life to become more of the person you would like to be.
Promise Yourself : by Christian D. Larson
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person
you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your
optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you
are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater
achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every
living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that
you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for
fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the
world, not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long
as you are true to the best that is in you.
From Your Forces and How to Use Them by Christian D. Larson

Second Sudden Mutation in the Creation of the Human Being (Forty-Nine)
Eventually, another birth of twins, a male and female, were very important animals being born into our world. For they were the new species of Primates, the second, sudden mutation. While at the same time, another couple, rather mentally and physically inferior of the mid-mammal tribe, also gave birth to twins, a male and a female. Ancestry of the Human Race (Part Forty-Seven)
About one million years ago, the immediate ancestors of mankind made their appearance by three successive and sudden mutations stemming from early stock of the lemur type of placental mammal. These early lemurs involved in the ancestry of the human species were not directly related to the pre-existent tribes of gibbons and apes then living in Eurasia and northern Africa, whose offspring had survived to the present time. Neither were they the offspring of the modern type of le
