Having good strategies in place is one of the biggest factors in making your business a success.
With that in mind, are your numbers lower than you'd like them to be, and are you conce
ed about them? Are you seeing less people registering for your events? Are you finding sales to be lower than normal? Are your percentages down?
Maybe you aren't getting as many people are register for your teleseminars. Does any of this sound familiar?
The first thing you need to ask yourself is how widespread is this problem. Is this something just your company is suffering from, or is this an industry-wide problem? If it’s industry-wide, then you know it’s nothing you did that caused your numbers to drop.
The real question is - What are you going to do about?
You can't just sit around with a woe is me attitude. You should be taking some time to look at the strategies you have in place and seeing what changes need to me made.
What are you doing to increase your numbers?
One thing you might be doing that will work against you, is only using one media to market . Are you just using email to invite people to your event? Are you just using social media to broadcast what your business is up to? Are you using only direct mail to connect with your clients?
These are all great resources for marketing and for reaching out to your clients, but the fact remains…you can’t just use one.
Suppose you’re using email. It’s simple, everyone seems to have email these days. But how many emails do you get a day? One hundred, maybe more, right? How many of those emails do you open? Some emails probably go directly to your spam folder. So, why do you think your clients are any different?
This is where your strategy comes in. Here’s where you need to think about integrated marketing.
An example of integrated marketing would be using email and direct mail for a marketing campaign. You send a mail piece out to promote your business, your event, an upcoming sale, or you services. Maybe it’s just a piece to let your clients know what you’re up to in your business. You could then employ the strategy of using email to follow-up. By talking about whatever you mailed to the physical address in your email, you peak interest and bring them back to the direct mail piece they may have laid aside to look at later.
This makes your marketing stronger. People are now looking for whatever you mailed them.
Another strategy you might try is picking up the phone and making a phone call. We rely so much on email, text messages, and instant messages that we almost forget how pleasant it is to hear someone’s voice. Imagine how nice it feels to pick up the phone and the person on the other end is from your company and they’re inviting clients to your event, or letting them know about your sale, or whatever it is you have for them.
Having a strategy in place, that makes use of integrated marketing, is another way to reach out to your clients and make sure they're aware of what you have for them. It’s important to remember that everything changes. Media changes, technology changes, people change. With all of these changes, you have to adapt your business to reach clients how they want to be communicated with.
Integrated marketing is a great strategy to reach your clients, and to increase your numbers across the board. You just have to see what works, fit it to your business and put that strategy in place. When you do those things, you will see improved results.
