We live in such challenging times, it is tempting for people to lapse into feeling like a victim. In Emotional Freedom I discuss "The Victim" and how to compassionately deal with coworkers, family, and friends who lapse into this mode. I also discuss ways to notice these tendencies in ourselves too. We may not mean to become a victim, we may even "know better," but still we do. The beauty of emotional freedom is that we can recognize this lapse quickly and take positive steps to remedy the situation. However, many people aren't aware of being stuck in victim mode, nor do they know how draining they can be. It's important to learn strategies for kindly but firmly setting limits with the "victims" in your life.
