In its report titled “OA Nation”, the group chided the government for its low scores on arthritis care that have limited the activities of patients.

“A report by charity Arthritis Care said that management of the condition in this country was failing, with many people limited in their daily lives because of the pain they experienced,” said the Daily Mail.

The report looked into the lives of over 1,700 OA patients and came up with these distressing figures. It revealed that more than half or 53 percent of OA patients struggled to get out of bed because of the pain while 69 percent found it difficult to do household tasks for the same reason.
Ironically, many patients have not seen a doctor in spite of their pain. Thirty-four percent said they never visited a doctor. The almost 50 percent who did see a doctor said they only did after considering surgery due to frequent unbearable pain. To make matters worse, the doctors they visited failed to correctly diagnose their condition.

“Diagnosis of the condition was also slow, with 39 percent saying it took between three and 11 visits to their doctor before they were told they had arthritis,” the Daily Mail said.

"This report is evidence that there is a huge problem in the UK, and one which we must address. ‘OA Nation’ paints a picture that at times is saddening and frustrating, but above all it represents people with OA finally finding their voice,” said Neil Betteridge, director of public affairs for Arthritis Care.

The charity hopes the government will take the necessary steps to help millions of arthritis patients who are suffering in silence. Betteridge said that with the right treatment and proper medication, these people could live normal lives.

To end the misery of arthritis, consult a doctor for the proper advice. One popular remedy that is currently making waves is Flexcerin, a better alte
ative to prescription painkillers that promotes healthy joint function, alleviates pain and swelling, and repairs damaged joints. Visit http://tinyurl.com/8jkw6ma for more information.
