As we step onto the Spiritual path we naturally begin to develop our intuitive faculties which is a two-step process: first we develop instinctual intuition and then mental intuition.

1) Instinctual intuition involves the solar plexus (i.e.: a parent sensing that his/her child is in danger or vice versa)
2) Mental intuition (intuitive mind) involves the higher planes (i.e.: getting clear impressions from the Higher Self and Monad)

Instinctual intuition is more related to the emotional aspect of self whereas the higher aspect of intuition, the intuitive mind, is more related to the mental aspect of self.

As we develop our intuitive mind, we begin to pierce into higher dimensions of reality, and as we do that, we are put in touch with a higher sense of knowingness and realization. And it is this higher sense of knowingness that makes the unseen real to us, that makes the truth of God and the Angels and Ascended Masters an unshakable reality for us, and that in the end allows us to “believe without seeing,” as the Master Jesus would say.

The Integrated Ascended Master makes a very conscious effort to develop his intuition and higher senses, because he realizes that the development of higher senses is the key to help us grow conscious of the subtler dimensions of reality.
