ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT
How many times have you wanted something but were afraid to ask? I recently heard someone mention that they are accustomed to getting what they wanted because they have no problem asking for it. Their belief is that if there is a 50% chance they will get a “yes” answer, then why not? Many of us believe the opposite. If there is a 50% chance of getting a “no” answer, then why bother?
In the recent books, movies and CD’s about the Universal Law of Attraction (“The Secret” and “The Art of Allowing” to name just a few) you have learned that knowing what you want and asking for what you want are the ways you tap into the Universal flow of abundance. Asking for what you want is the way you put your order into the ethers. It is the way you declare what you are ready and willing to receive.
There is a great teaching that says, “ask and it is given” or “ask and ye shall receive". Yet, most of us stand in our own fear, afraid to ask. We have feelings of unworthiness. Our default programming, that is filled with viruses by the way, tells us that we are not worthy to be given whatever it is we want. We make the answer to our question, “no”, before we even ask. Soon we stop asking.
When I was growing up and I asked my mom for something I wanted, her typical response would be, “and people in hell want ice water.” Of course this set up the default programming. I was programmed to think that when you ask, you will be rejected. The message was, you can’t always have what you want and you will always live unsatisfied. This leads to thinking and feeling that your life is hell. As I developed new perspectives of life and became more empowered with the ways life can be experienced, I quickly quarantined that virus.
Our emotions are energy in motion. Our emotions charge our thoughts, putting them into motion. Our thoughts create our belief system and our belief system creates the energy field that acts like a magnet attracting those people and situations into our lives that resonate with our energy.
Look around you. Do you attract people and situations that are a part of the bigger picture of what you say you want out of life? Is there someone who may have information for you? Is there someone who may hold the key that will open doors for you? Is there a situation that is your golden opportunity? Is there someone standing right there in front of you, a representative of the Universal flow, and you are afraid to ask for what you want?
Here is your opportunity for the week. Stop letting your default programming and your fear of rejection stop you. If there is something you want, ask for it. Begin with the person or situation right in front of you. ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT!
