Asthma is a chronic disease in the airways can make breathing very difficult. When a person has asthma, there is an inflammation of the air passages which can result in a temporary reduction in the airways that carry oxygen to the lungs. When this happens, asthma symptoms begin to appear. Some of the first symptoms of asthma include coughing, wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing. Although there are many Treatments for Asthma Symptoms, it is still a potentially dangerous disease that affects more than 22 million people. Most people who have some kind of treatment they can live well with asthma, but not receiving treatment may be difficult to be active and exercise. Those who have asthma experience airway obstruction. When normal breathing, the bands of muscles surrounding the airways are able to relax and allow air to move freely. When people have asthma, the allergy causes the bands of muscles surrounding the airways and tightening the air is not able to move freely. When there is less air, this causes the person to feel short of breath. People suffering from asthma also suffer from inflammation of the bronchi, which causes them to be red and swollen. Inflammation that occurs in the bronchial tubes are thought to contribute to long-term damage to the lungs. People with asthma have airways that are very sensitive airways and can become a strong reaction of the small trigger as animal dander, dust, smoke or pollen. Some causes and triggers of asthma include infections such as sinusitis, flu and colds. Allergens are also a great release and can be pollen, pet dander, dust mites and mold spores. Even irritating odors such as perfume or strong scents of cleaning solutions can trigger asthma. Sometimes, other external causes may be the exercise, changes in weather, strong emotions, drugs and other allergens. People who have asthma often have similar symptoms that can be recognized. When an asthma attack is occurring, the tightening of the airways, swell or fill with mucus. Coughing is a common symptom, along with wheezing, shortness of breath and tightening in the chest, chest pain or pressure. People who are treated for asthma can learn to manage the disease, but those who can not be causing damage to your airways and body by not taking care of the disease. Asthma can be diagnosed by a doctor, so if you feel you may have asthma, you should consider being evaluated for this and further treatments that are given.
