***Attachment gone. Deliverance won.
The Bhagavad-Gita teaches, “Attachment gone. Deliverance won.”
The purpose of life is to realize God and our God Self. We accomplish this by delivering ourselves from our attachment to the lower self and instead attaching ourselves to our Higher Self.
So the easiest and in truth only lasting way to overcome attachments of any kind – be it attachment to food, sex, gambling, cigarettes, drugs, or whatever – is to attach ourselves to God and our God Self.
Simple advice, but very effective!
Now in Eastern philosophy there is a strong focus on detaching oneself completely from the world and the things of this world. The Integrated Ascended Master fosters a more integrated approach and practices what is called “involved detachment.” They recognize that everything in this material world is transient and thus do not get attached to anything, however, they at the same time realize that the physical world is the Material Face of God and get involved with the world in order to help create Heaven on Earth. So, they live in this world to create a better world for everyone but they don’t get attached to it.
And as all attachment is gone, they know that their deliverance from the wheel of rebirth and their ascension at the end of their life will be certainly won.
