Part of crafting a successful life is to create a winning mindset, but how do you do that? What if almost everything in your life is going wrong, or at least not what you expected to happen (and not in a good way), how can you still have a winning mindset? There is some scientific proof that any success you experience is 80 percent mindset and 20 percent ability. This is true for mental ability or sports acumen. You can be the most physically fit person in the world but if you think you can't, you're right. The same can be said for pretty much any situation.
Take a look at these 7 ways to spark a winning mindset.
1. Discover Your Passion - We sometimes forget the power of having fun, passion and zest for life. We become use to going through the motions of the day instead of appreciating and enjoying the day. You may not even be sure how to discover your passion. But it's not all that hard... just open your heart and your mind to new possibilities and simply pay attention to your own feelings.
2. Have Faith -- Not just faith in God as you see Him, but faith in yourself too. You've made it this far in your life, you can continue to improve yourself above even your highest goal today. One step at a time. When you figure out what you want, go after it, and there's no time like the present. It's all up to you.
3. Take Responsibility -- One of the most important actions you can take toward creating a winning mindset is to take personal responsibility for your actions or lack of action as the case may be. You are in full control of what you chose to do or not do. Listen, the fact is: You may not be able to control what happens in the Universe but you can control one thing, yourself! You can control your reactions to every last thing that occurs in your life.
4. Take Action -- Create actionable steps to accomplish whatever your tasks. Start at the end and do a bit of backward planning. Even if you simply want to create a more positive attitude and positive thoughts, simply acknowledge when you have a negative thought and let it go and focus on something positive. For example: Write three positive thoughts per day in a gratitude thought journal.
5. Embrace your Failures -- Even though it's hard to admit, life would be boring if you had no failures. In fact if you've achieved every last goal on the first try, you're probably setting the bar too low, raise it. Recognize nothing is 100 percent so it you can get it done right 80 persent ot the time consider it a job well done. Your failures are is your practice run for success so when you fail a lot you'll succeed even more.
6. Recognize Opportunity -- Train your mind and heart to recognize opportunity when you see it. Instead of flinching in fear when an opportunity is presented look at it as a new adventure. Life is full of new adventures.
7. Find Mentors -- If you have mentors whom you can emulate you're half way there, because they can help you with all of the above any time you are slipping or need to be pointed in the right direction.
I hope you take to heart and practice these mindset tips. And you don't need to apply them all at once. Just apply one thing. I don't want you to get overwhelmed with this. I just want you to apply at least one of these tactics to your everyday life and hopefully you will have a boost in confidence and productivity, success and happiness.

Life Is Meant For Joy
With bills to pay, rent to cover, kids to corral, too much to do in too little time, especially with the Holidays upon us and all the extra stuff that needs tending, doing, paying for? Joy? Give it a rest. Well, I would, except joy is our basic nature. It’s what everything else we do is aiming for. Yes, money is nice, but why? For the joy it brings us in the form of comfort and/or giving to others. Success is grand, but why? For the joy of accomplishment, of expressing ourse
