Neale Donald Walsch shared in “Conversations with God – An Uncommon Dialogue – Book 1” that all actions are either fear-based or love-based. This appears to be such a limited list of options, but upon reflection it can bring powerful awareness. Walsch goes on to share “fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms. Love is the energy which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals. Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked. Fear clings to and clutches all that we have, love gives all that we have away. Fear holds close, loves holds dear. Fear grasps, love lets go. Fear rankles, love soothes. Fear attacks, love amends.”rnThe Law of Attraction states: that which you put attention to, you attract. It behooves you to put your attention towards the visualization of the life you want, but not as a want, but as if it’s already occurring today. If your actions are based out of fear, worry, and want, that’s what you’re attracting and manifesting in your existence – fear, worry, and want. This is a challenging concept since so often you want what you don’t have in your life. It’s natural to want a better life. But how can we bring it into our existence without wanting?rnNow, shift your perspective to love. When you perform an act of service for a friend, family member, stranger, or more importantly yourself, you have a different outlook and different vibration. There is a softness, tenderness, and openness in your approach that isn’t constricted in fear. You can easily think of examples of love you’ve shared outwardly. But, are you open, soft, and tender with yourself in the same manner? This is where significant self-awareness develops.rnTry this exercise for a minimum of one day. Carry a journal with you for a day. For each action you perform, write it down. It doesn’t have to be fancy or in any specific format. But, next to each action, write down one word – either fear or love. For each of those actions, capture which emotion drove that action. For example, it’s common when you are about to host a party, to go through and perform a top-notch cleaning of your house. For many, that action is a based out of fear – fear of judgment by your guests. This same action could be performed on a daily basis for the benefit of all who live in the house. That would resemble a more love-based action. Now, this is not to say that you don’t love your family, but it provides you additional awareness of your love versus fear ratio.rnHere’s another example, evaluate your love or fear barometer when you set out for your exercise routine. Are you doing it as a form of self-love to feel better and to be healthy? Are you doing it out of fear of gaining weight if you do not participate? Are you exercising with a friend to boost your relationship and yourself in self-love? Or possibly working out with a friend out of obligation – for fear of saying no to your friend?rnTake the time to bring awareness to the motive of your actions. Additionally, consider how your thoughts play in this game as well. Once you do, review your patterns of fear. The more you practice love, the more it manifests and you attract it into your life. The circle of life is beautiful when it’s love-based versus fear-based. Stop wanting, and visualize the love and joy of your desires as if it’s already in existence today – regardless of what happened yesterday. …in Happiness and Wellth…Namastern
