Ayurveda and Life Ayurveda is one of the most ancient and comprehensive medical systems in the world. It is a medical system that heals from every component of the human being: Mind, Body and Spirit. Ayurveda heals taking into account each persons’ individuality. Just as a tree has many leaves and not one is identical also Ayurveda sees all human beings as uniquely created and treats each person according to his or her individuality. Ayurveda is also non intrusive and has little or no side effects as all of the recommendations are natural. Ayurvedic medicine looks to how to properly heal the human mechanism and incorporates a lifestyle practice and good habit forming strategies in order to bring wellness to the individual. Furthermore, Ayurveda works. This medical system has been in existence and has been preserved in its original form for more than 5,000 years. Ayurveda looks pretty impressive, when you consider that our Western Medical system has only been in existence for a little longer than one hundred years. Further, it is also quite impressive if you take into account that the medicines in the western system are not the same as they were 70 years ago. This is not the case in Ayurvedic medicine which has preserved and continues to use its effective formulations throughout its time in existence. rnSo why do we not use this medical system?
