Sore throats are caused by colds and coughs. Contaminants and dust in the air can also irritate the throat. Trace the cause of the problem is the first step in treating it.

Many types of products are sold to relieve sore throat. These medications come in aerosols, pills and tablets. Many people are looking for a natural treatment for their ailments in those days. Ayurvedic medicine is a natural method of healing. Whatever approach you choose, you should treat a sore throat immediately.

Ayurvedic treatments

Ayurvedic medicine has been practiced in India for over three thousand years. Most treatments are performed by a physician who has studied numerous techniques. Here are some simple treatments for it.

3. Belleric myrobalan (Terminalia belerica) has been used as a cough remedy. Mix the fruit pulp with salt, long pepper and honey. To relieve pain, fry the fruit and eat it. Cover the fruit with flour and toast over low heat.

Home Remedies

The easiest way to get rid of a sore throat is gargling with salt water. Combine four teaspoons of salt in a quart of warm water. Gargle with warm salt water for 20 minutes. Do this before going to bed and sore throat may be gone tomorrow.

Some people have difficulty gargling with salt water. Many herbs can be used as a gargle to relieve and help prevent a sore throat. Cinnamon cardamom tea gargles good to help prevent influenza when used regularly. Or add the fenugreek seeds to a quart of water. Simmer for 30 minutes. Cool and strain the liquid before using.

Another effective way to treat a sore throat is a hot drink and relaxing. Take a cup of boiling water. Add a teaspoon of cumin and two or three cloves of garlic. Reduce heat to low and simmer one minute. Cool and strain before drinking. This is most effective when eaten hot.

Ginger is an herb that can be used in a variety of ways to treat coughs and colds. Make a ginger tea before bedtime. Or a mix of ginger, water and sugar to make syrup. Ingredients over medium heat and simmer. Strain and cool enough to drink. Mix ginger juice and honey can help relieve pain associated with sore throat.
