Ayurvedic tips on how to nourish the skin which in turn will promote a healthy glowing skin if you pamper your skin regularly with a hydrating massage exfoliate the skin regularly and use a skin care treatment in line with your skin type that hydrates as well as moisturizes the skin. Drink plenty of water and consume plenty of digestive fibre, eat healthy fats such as walnuts and flaxseed. There are several Ayurvedic remedies for preventing some common skin problems and curing them. For instance if the three body energies are aggravated this can result in pimples, blackheads and acne the constitution is tridosha and Pitta dosha is the most common and occurs due to excessive intake of coffee, fried foods, tea and alcohol. Major causes that aggravate Pitta dosha include pollution, tension, chemicals and stress and can result in rashes, acne, pimples and boils. There are several home Ayurvedic remedies that can be used in the treatment of pimples and acne such as making a paste of a teaspoon of turmeric, sandalwood powder mixed to a paste with milk. You can prevent pimples by applying a mixture of fresh fenugreek leaves to the face for ten minutes and then rinse with warm water before going to bed. Pigmentation which is an imbalance of Bhrajaka Pitta is caused due to irregular sleeping habits, the consumption of certain foods and drinks and excessive exposure to the sun.
Ayurvedic home remedies for pigmentation includes a mixture of ground almonds mixed with a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of fresh cream applied to the neck and face for fifteen minutes. Another remedy is a mixture of turmeric and sesame seeds. You can apply a paste mixture of water and basil leaves. Prevent premature aging by massaging the face and neck with coconut or almond oil mixed with ghee before retiring or makes a face pack up of grated cucumber.
