When we say B2B transactions or business-to-business transactions, it means that a company or a business firm would transact business and work hand in hand with another company or business in order to get things done. For example, a manufacturer of a famous carbonated drink will give a business proposal to that of a wholesaler. When the wholesaler and the manufacturer sets up the agreements and the contracts in order for the both of them to transact business together, then everything will fall into place afterwards. The wholesaler can then conduct businesses with a retailer and the retailer will sell the products to its customers. This is B2B transactions. This all looks very promising, but where does it all start? It starts with a process called B2B lead generation. This is where the owners of the business or the organization would find people or other businesses in order to transact business with each other. It's like a treasure hunt of sorts. In my example earlier, the manufacturer of the famous carbonated drink will try to generate qualified sales leads through various processes. Some of these processes would be outbound telemarketing, media advertising, participation in trade shows and conferences, and putting up a website on the internet. The manufacturer would try to contact these leads and try to find out if those leads can become qualified sales leads. Once those leads become qualified sales leads, they can then set up a meeting date in order to start with the negotiation to determine what's are the best ways, process, and funding in order for these two business to work hand in hand together. Also, negotiation handles haggling over prices of the products and services to be sold, delivery dates and times, and also about product specifications. Once negotiations are done, the integration of the new processes would fall into place to formally start operations. Although it is not necessary for the wholesaler to follow everything on the set of processes the manufacturer gave them word for word, it's important to still have that sense of urgency that they are working under a business product and no businessman on his right mind would want to lose an opportunity to bring in more money for their businesses. By generating B2B sales leads, companies need to be the right company at the right time for other companies and businesses. For this, companies need to persuade other businesses, wholesalers and retailers alike, to construct a business plan with them. Companies need to let these other businesses know that with their help they can boost profits together, resulting in company growth for both businesses. With B2B sales leads, companies start to grow since their list of partners and co-workers alike would grow as well. This means that the more suitable partners that they have, the higher the chances of the company to grow and be more well-known to the public eye. Although getting partners to run a business together is a good thing, always remember that everything in excess even if it is a good thing can turn bad. As the saying goes, too many chefs spoil the broth. Most large business organizations use the power of B2B sales lead generation in order to bring in more profit for the company. Because as we know, profit is one thing that a company cannot live without. Without profit, the company would not grow and no growth for the company only proves that the company is either incapable of doing so or uninterested in growing. Businessmen of all sorts would always want their business to grow, no matter how small the growth is at a set interval of time the growth is still there.
