A lot of writers seek a job that gives them the freedom to work from any part of the world. In fact, most of the amateurs turn to professional writing with the goal of being able to work as they ramble about. Atypical and unconventional is on the top of their preferred job description. However, most of the writing jobs are run from the office desk. That said, there are a few that offer just the right dose of fun and seriousness. Travel writing is one such rare job. It gives you the drive and the reason to travel, be on your own, and earn. 1. Spatial Analytics: Yes, that's a word overused by interior designers and architects. What has it got to do with writing? The web space is limited; therefore, the space that you travel occupies must also be limited. Agreed, that your travel experience was absolutely brilliant; and, you can go on writing about it. Nonetheless, cross the 700 mark and you will be shooing away most of the readers.
2. Infuse Life: Brevity is the art while technique is the skill. It is up to you to decide which way you will mould the article. But whatever way you craft it, make it a point to infuse some colour in it. Succulent writings are a preferred way of travel bloggers and writers. A favoured technique is to include dialogues.
3. Save: Travel writing is a new way to encourage saving habits. While some of the companies will pay for your travel (which is a very rare case) most of the times you will have to make a choice between purchasing and saving for travel. You won't be disappointed by the latter choice for it will help make your venture better and indirectly will influence your writing as well.
4. Entertaining: Keep the audience entertained, even if you have to bluff at times. Let's face it; your travel experience is not going to turn out as expected. If you are lucky you might be smitten by the place otherwise the whole thing may be a complete turn off. How do you approach your writings in case of the latter? Where there is wit there is a way.
5. Polish: There is a difference between writing for yourself and writing for an audience. You can afford to be careless with consistency of language and the travel writing formats if you are writing for yourself. Make your work as appealing as possible.
