So you've been reading books about , sat on your couch and meditated , started talking to your self with positive affirmations , so where's your stuff right? Well first of all self doubts and those little annoying thoughts that pop into your head are perfectly normal as any good yogi will tell you . You are learning a new way of thinking it's only natural that these old residual impulse feelings will come to the surface , dont worry about it , it's kind of like a mental house cleaning just allow them to pass by and dont spend much energy on those thoughts because in doing that you are creating resistance to what it is you wish to experience.
When it comes to the law of attraction part of the metaphysical pie , it's all about your vibe . That's right your vibe the hippies had it right. In order to connect to the creative source effectively you must be in a high state of gratitude . Now if your not in a constant high state every single moment ,should you be worried about it ? No, of course not , that would be unrealistic for most people because we have a natural eb and flow of emotions based upon our own unique experiences and how we chose to process them. So how do you bring your vibe up ? First instead of thinking about all the things hanging you up your challenges you have to bring your focus back to what it is that you do want . It's like in meditation when you are concentrating on an object and your eye (mind) wanders to the side a little , you have to bring your concentration back to center. It's the same with gratitude. Here are some ideas and exercises that you can do to help develop a high state of gratitude and joy in your life experience. n Start by writing down a list of what you feel gratitude in life for; make a habit of this weekly , as time goes buy you will notice your list getting longer. Next spend some time and pray , meditate or ponder upon each item on your list and allow those heart warming feelings to flow. When you find your mind wondering off into an unproductive area during the course of the day , agian refer to your list.
The next idea you'll remember from the movie The Secret, that old trusty gratitude rock. If you dont have one , find one. I carry my rock in my pocket everywhere I go and every single time that touch that rock, I find something in which to be thankful for. Even if I happen to be facing a challenge at the moment , I can still be thankful for a new perspective that helps me to arrive at a positive solution to the current situation.
Another way to experience gratitude is to make some of your own , look for ways to spread small experiences of joy and happiness to your fellow man during the course of your day, being courious to someone , give someone a hand , share a laugh , give your son or daughter a smile . It doesnt all have to be about you , ya know!
Next you will want to Tune out all that negative stuff....it's zapping your energy. Most of the things you see on television and listen to on the radio are extremely negative , and that energy has effect on you ,IT BRINGS YOU DOWN Instead choose to listen to something postive , turn the channel or pop in a self improvement disk and feed your brain with the good stuff.
Lastely if all else fails , go and hang out with some positive people . If you dont know any positive people then take in a seminar or hit the spa and recharge your batteries . Reeelaax a little . I hope these ideas help you to get into the flow , it really isn't very hard , it's just a small matter of learning a few new habits. Soon you will notice that you are walking taller , your having more fun , your starting to make connections and people are looking at your in a new light. Enjoy it , that means your on your way.
