In order to attain a BBA degree, a student has to complete twelve years of education from a recognized board or university. The selection process varies in different institutes which includes written test, group discussions, and personal interview. The BBA course usually requires 3 years to complete and each year is divided into two semesters. The curriculum is generally based on business economics and environment, business law, finance, marketing, computer fundamentals, etc. A student is given wide platform to develop presentational skills through project reports, industrial visits, and interaction from experts from different professional fields. Some institutes offer a specialization in the final year of graduation.
BBA degree doesn't offer much scope by itself, unless you follow it up with a good MBA. After that you may work as an executive or assistant manager in any of the business organizations, manufacturing companies, export or trading houses, financial concerns, banks, NGOs, PSUs or multinational companies. In the private sector, promotions are based on your efficiency and enterprise. Also, the kind of job you will get and the salary you will be offered will to a large extent depend on the reputation of the B-school you graduate from.
Career in BBA is bright and promising if you develop good business management skills during the graduation. You can also go for a master’s course like MBA, MCA, or a post graduate diploma in various specializations.BBA graduates join firms at the executive level positions like HR and Finance. With experience, they can grow to higher management positions. Both private and government firms hire business professionals. Some of the BBA jobs preferred include the banking jobs.
