Be An MLM Downline Builder

Over the years that MLM (multilevel marketing) has been in existence in its existing form, there has been an evolution of how an MLM Downline should be built. There are two ways that will be discussed here today.

Method #1. You can build your mlm downline the traditional way which has worked well over all these years and continues to be a way to build your downline as you build your mlm business. That system is best demonstrated by giving an example.

You are introduced to a weight loss product that you found out about from a friend at work. She invites you to come to a meeting that they are having next Tuesday Night at the Hilton Hotel conference hall. You take her up on the offer and go Tuesday night to the meeting. You are impressed by what you see and decide to try the product, afterall, you really could loose about 10 pounds. You offer to buy the product but are told that if you sign up as a distributor, you can get a 20% discount, so you go ahead and sign up to be a distributor. It really didn't cost you that much more. You are able to get a bottle that very night but are told that the distributor kit will be mailed to you and you should receive it within the next 5 to 7 days.

After a couple of weeks you notice that you have actually lost about 4 pounds. You start to feeling pretty good and decide to continue on the product. About that same time, your friend calls you up to see how you are doing. You tell her that you have actually lost 4 pounds to which she responds "that's great, you really do have a great story to tell, maybe you should tell some of your friends about it. You really can make some good money in this business".

Fast forward a month or so and you have started promoting your new weight loss product that you have used successfully over the last 6 weeks. You are told to make a list of all your friends and associates and co-workers and tell them about your success story. You have made your list and found a few friends and a couple of co-workers that are interested. They go to the meetings at the Hilton to see the same presentation that was given to you. They have seen how you lost weight and decided to join you, after some persuasion, in your new adventure. You have now become an MLM Downline Builder.

Does all this sound familiar to you? I'm sure that if you have had any mlm experience at all you have had a similar story that you can tell. Let's go now to another way of being an MLM Downline Builder.

Method #2. You are interested in network marketing on the internet. You are very good on your computer and spend quite a bit of time on your Facebook account with your friends. You have also joined Twitter and have signed up to have it sent to your cell phone so that you can "tweet" through your phone.

You have joined this weight loss company and are having some success with the product and have actually been thinking about promoting it on the internet. Afterall, the marketplace is huge and if you can only get a few of them interest, you can really do well. While surfing the internet, you run across a system that is promoted by someone who appears to be a real leader and knows how to promote businesses on the internet. He has a system that is automated and all you have to do is plug into that system and start promoting yourself as a leader in a similar fashion as he did to you. You are good on facebook and have a lot of friends and you use twitter and know quite well the "ins and outs" of interacting with others on Twitter.

You sign up with him and start promoting yourself through Facebook and Twitter. You do it by sending anyone who sees your interaction with others and is interest in what you have to say and what you do. They go to your blog where you have placed a link to some training about how to do just what you have done (which is a part of the system you just signed up for). They are required to place their name and email on a form before they can receive the information that you have told them about.

You now have a list of those who are interested in what you are doing. In the training that is sent to all who sign up (which is a part of the system), there is mention in a number of places to your weight loss business. Some of the ones that are taking the training are interest and because they see the potential of promoting on the internet, sign up to be business partners with you and do the same thing that you are doing to promote themselves and their new business.

These two methods are probably over simplified but offer a pretty good explanation of two very different ways that you can become an MLM Downline Builder.
