There are several reasons that a person wants to fast depending on his/her personal lifestyle to get benefits from his/her goals, beliefs or even health issues particularly in losing weight.

The person will decide on what kind of fasting he/she will consider and how long it take. But there are certain people who are not advisable to go on fast. Thes people include pregnant women, people with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, hepatic or renal insufficiency and those people with wasting diseases or malnutrition.

The Pros of Fasting for Weight Loss:

To lose weight speedily, is the main benefit of fasting.People lose more weight for about 100 and start dressing better, becoming more organized, more dedicated in relationships, showing more confidence and more at peace. By fasting, you give rest to your stomach which is needed by the body. A good side of fasting is to redirect your spiritual time, to have reasonable and balance mind and to be free to toxins. This is a period for your body to clean its internal parts.

Strengthening the immune system and healing illnesses and disorders or a medical practices are the factual good effects of fast. It cleanses the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and urinary systems, wiping out impurities all over the body and removes uric acid deposits. At the same time, you don’t have to spend time cooking, shopping for food and cleaning up after a meal when you’re undergoing fast.So you could use the time to meaditate, read, sing, and anything worthwhile for you.

Fasting for Weight Loss - Its Cons:

There are more bad side of fasting beacuase of physiological changes that tredirects the body. Headaches, nausea, muscle aches, cardiac problems, and protein malnutrition are some of these bad sides. Severe attacks of gout or a uric acid kidney stone can be the cause of fasting and some people have felt hormonal changes.

In addition, it slows your metabolic rate down; resulting in nutritional deficiencies. Having bad breath is one of the worst sides of fasting. The problem is the restraint of calorie, which may cause your basal metabolic rate (BMR) to decrease. It can also take you to have a disorder of heart rythm when extending the time of fasting. The problem is not the weight. The weight is the result or the root of the problem.

Now you know all the aspects you might experience so therefore, you yourself should conclude you decision but be sure to think twice and consult doctors for a better advice so you can live and make new plans for the future.
