The Sri Lankan Leopard is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka and can be seen in dry and upper highland forests. Yala national park is one of the popular wild life sanctuaries situated in the southern province in Sri Lanka where elephants and leopards are common. Yala hosts a variety of ecosystems ranging from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands.
Minneriya National Park is well known for flora, fauna and elephant gathering view point in Sri Lanka. It is situated in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. There are number of other animals of faunal species include 24 species of mammals, 160 species of birds, 9 species of amphibians, 25 species of reptiles, 26 species of fish and 75 species of butterflies in Minneriya. There are two endemic species of monkeys are live in Minneriya called purple-faced languor and toque macaque.
Wilpattu National Park is famous due to its existence of natural lakes called "Willu". The park consist of lot of elephants, leopards, birds and reptiles. This is situated in the dry zone in Sri Lanka where lot of wild life holidays are taken place.
