Become a Charismatic Storyteller

Being a charismatic storyteller is a talent and skill that attracts and engages others and it is the ideal way to attract the opposite sex, land a job during the interview process, or entertain family and friends.

Stories are meant to liven the situation, whether a formal setting or informal setting. They engage others and brighten spirits. There are many situations that we are in where we are asked to tell a story, and being a charismatic storyteller definitely will win you the approval of the individual or group.

You need to start with a story that is interesting. Choose a story that is appealing and appropriate and that excites. Decorate your story with enthusiasm and possibly a slight exaggeration and be intelligent in your storytelling.

Have a few different stories under your belt. You want to be prepared for whatever the situation may be that you are asked, or would like, to tell a story. Leave out the boring or dull parts, and add charm and sparkle to what you are saying. Be adventurous and positive.

Charismatic storytellers have the talent to take a normal story and make it great. You must be able to deliver at your best with the magic and appeal that tell a charismatic story. You want your audience to be enthralled and to thoroughly be engaged in your story, and your story to stand out from others.

Charismatic storytellers have the ability to use their voice properly. You will make the most of your tone, rhythm, your pauses, and your ability to emphasize specific words that show emotion or are important to the story. Be in control of the situation and be confident in your speaking. You will need to be polished, and you want to keep your audience engaged, and don't want to stop and pause and think. Be comfortable and be confident that you have the voice they want to listen to, and the story that will entertain or engage them.

Don't try to memorize your stories word by word. Visualize the situation in your head and tell your story naturally. Provide plenty of detail, as the story will look more realistic.

Your body language is especially important and you will need to make the most of your body language to be the most charismatic storyteller. Everything about you, not just your words, by your posture, your eyes, your hands and each gesture that you make during the story will have an impact on your audience. Storytelling is a drama and your body language should reinforce your story. You'll have high points where you will show more energy, and you want your body to reflect the energy and reinforce it, as well.

Becoming a charismatic storyteller will take practice. Start with practicing in the mirror, and pay attention to your voice, what your body does, and consider how your audience will perceive you. And, definitely choose stories that engage your audience. With practice, you can become a charismatic storyteller, and win in whatever the situation.
