As a teacher I get to hear funny stories from the children, made up from their wild imagination. When I was young I always dreamt of becoming a teacher, I remember I used to sit all my teddies and dolls on the floor and pretend to be the teacher. While I was studying to become a teacher, I was also working at a school as part of my teaching course and the head teacher there was is a really nice guy. He always said to me that after I graduate,I can work at that school permanently which was a relief because it has become very difficult to find a job these days. Even though I’m a fully qualified teacher, I still have to attend training courses and they are so boring but I guess its part of being a teacher. Our last course was about team building which was actually quite fun as we had to plan and organise team building activities. We were divided into small groups and each group planned an activity, then once we finished, we swapped activities with other groups and had to do that activity no matter what it was. For the first timeall the teachers actually enjoyed a training course. I don’t mind attending boring courses because the children make up for it the next day when I’m back at work. It’s amazing how a child can put a smile on my face and that very same child can really get you annoyed with them. At the end of the day, all the screaming and shouting is worth it because deep down I know that they are learning from me which will help them in the future.
