While bedwetting is normal among small kids, it should be considered seriously if continues even after the child gets older. Consult a specialist if the child has this habit after 7 years.
Simple habits can go a long way to encourage the child to stop bed wetting. Dissuade the child from taking excess fluid items before bed time. Family members should provide kind and loving care to the children having this problem. Usually the habit of bedwetting decreases with the growth of the child. It is better to consult doctors if the habit continues for a long time. You should deal with the problem of bed wetting with patience because your child may get frustrated with no knowledge of how to stop this habit.
You can follow some home remedies to stop bedwetting. Make sure the child urinates before going to bed. Use bedwetters for older children as this would absorb the liquid and helps them feel comfortable. Parents should realize the psychological problems the child may be suffering from and take necessary steps to overcome it.
Bed wetting alarms can also be used as these are the safest and the most effective way to control bedwetting. Continuous use of such alarms can help the child to recognize the urge to urinate and thus stops bed wetting.
