Life is truly a special gift that should never be taken for granted. As we mature and experience the world around us, we often times let the outer world define who we are, limiting us from discovering our true potential. We begin to feel stuck, trapped and overwhelmed; experiencing circumstances we believe are beyond our control. Our mind tells us a story of doom and gloom. Sound familiar...? Although our circumstances may seem overwhelming and beyond our control we have the power within us to change them, creating new circumstances and freedom in our lives. It may seem like a daunting task at first. However, if you can believe in the vision of what your best life would look like, and start taking small action steps to improve your inner world letting go of those prior limiting beliefs, momentum will begin moving you in the direction you want to go. Your positive actions will have a compound effect improving your outer world reality and conditions. Here are five action steps you can begin implementing today. 1. Change Your Morning Routine – Think of how you begin your day when you awaken. One small action step you could begin to implement each day is to reflect upon all of the things in your life you are grateful for prior to that cup of coffee or tea. No matter how busy your schedule is in the morning there will be a chunk of time somewhere in your schedule to implement this positive action. 2. Share More of What is Missing- If you want more money in your life, share sincere sentiment towards other’s to have more money in their life. This could be a stranger at the grocery store scrounging for change who is quieting three kids while waiting in line behind them. Send them your kindness by wishing them financial abundance. If it’s freedom, a better relationship, better health you want to create more of in your life, you can do the same. 3. Limit Your Intake- If you want to lose weight you can start by decreasing your calories by just 125 per day, or decrease the amount of sugar you use in that morning cup of coffee or tea compounded each day really can make a big difference in pounds lost, energy level and improved health. If you suffer from anxiety or stress limit your media intake & remember to be consistent daily. 4. Out With the Old, In With the New- Depending on the area of your life you are improving, an honest self assessment is required. You will need to be aware of your contribution to the problem so you can replace old habits that have not served you well in the past, for new ones that are more positive. If you are blaming others or circumstances you are not fully taking ownership for your prior actions. Allow yourself to be forgiven and create a new action that is more in alignment with what you are creating in your life. 5. Dream Land- Before going to bed each night establish a ritual that will contribute to the compound effect towards your fulfillment. Again, depending on the area you are improving, reflect on the progress you made that day. Consider what worked well and what could have been better. Read inspiring material prior to going to bed. If you’re not a big fan of reading listen to an audio. Your brain will continue to process this new valuable information while you slumber. Darren Hardy wrote about this in his book entitled,The Compound Effect. He goes into great detail in order to provide readers tools and strategies for improving their lives. I never think of myself as a pack rat. Maybe the love of much. Maybe too much? But there are times when I look around the house and I can’t find the dog or I delve into drawers and come up empty handed or I find myself crawling around closet floors in search of a runaway shoe. I end up ...

One of the comics that I admired for her sharp observational humor is Carol Leifer. Well, Carol just published a very funny book called, "When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win." She writes about embracing her life and her age and her writing is insightful and hilarious. I just had the good fortune to interview Carol about her life and her new book. ec. We both grew up on Long Island but we never had any play dates together. Another thing we have in common were fathers who were both naturally very funny.

ec: Before we delve into the subject of Intuition and how it has impacted your life, in all areas of your life, can you give us your definition of Intuition? I think there are still some who feel that getting in touch with your inner voice only happens in a smoked filled backroom with a woman named Mistress Sylvia and a crystal ball. If you've ever felt you wear a sign that reads, "Please take advantage of me," you are not alone. Tons of women are in the same boat. They feel like props, fixtures and tools that hold up other people's lives. With little certainty of how to uplift their own.
