A merchant’s affiliate program is a program that is set up by a company that has products or services to sell. The merchant wants affiliates to sell his products or services as he makes money in the process. In exchange, he pays you a commission for doing the promotion. These commission rates will vary depending upon which product is to be sold , and which company is behind it.
Of course, there is an agreement between the two parties.

2) Make the right choicer
There are literally thousands of affiliate programs to choose from. Take your time when choosing,after all you want to promote the best for your niche. Make sure you have enough knowledge about it, so that you can write about it.

3) Consider the company and its productsr
Make sure to read the affiliate agreement before signing to become an affiliate marketer to a product. Don`t hesitate to ask questions and if needed,contact the merchant personally. All programs come with terms and conditions which work for both parties involved. Good affiliate programs will have referrals or testimonials from other affiliates. This allows you give you a good idea if you should join that program or not.

4) Payment methodsr
It is important to check on the payment methods the company is offering. Many companies pay you through PayPal or they will send you a check in the mail. Just be certain that you can receive payments. Some companies have certain countries restricted so make sure yours isn’t on their list.

5) You become an affiliate marketerrnonce you have made the research on the different sites I have mentioned in a previous article and you start promoting their products. You become then,the merchant`s seller. Obviously the more buyers you send to the merchant`s site, the more money you will make.
Joining a merchant affiliate program is a Win Win situation. The merchant sells his product and you as the affiliate marketer, you make money.

6) Differentiate yourselfr
If you are just getting started as an affiliate marketer, I suggest that you use the promotional material the company will provide you.
Once you have a little experience, you can easily create your own articles and material. If you do that, you will take your website to an other level.You will be above every other marketer who are using the basic promotional material.

7) Set up your Blogrnyou can set up a free Blog to advertise your products. Don`t forget that it is where it all starts. Your blog or website is your Real Estate. Everything comes to it and leave from it. So make sure it looks very professional. Or you choose a paying one. Of course this one is better, but a free one can do the job at the beginning. You won`t have as much flexibility,but the main thing is to get started.
