Line Clova makes some cool stuff, and they’re continuing the tradition, using their Clova artificially intelligent assistant, Clova Desk, a smart screen along the same lines as Amazon’s Echo Spot and Google’s Home Hub. The 7-inch screen has a high resolution and is set above a front-facing speaker, inside a square body. The footprint is very similar to the Google Home Hub. Clova Desk has masses of features outside sending text messages, cute stickers, and making video calls, including mobile payments, banking, and streaming music. The Clova Desk has a 5-megapixel camera for video calls, and can both display and read out messages received to your Line account.

Gate is great concept and an accurate glimpse into tomorrow’s smart lock. Gate Smart Lock is really all you need for total front door security. Casper, the same company known for making online luxury mattresses, just introduced the Casper Glow Light, a nightlight that’s designed to help you sleep. The Glow works with the Casper Glow app, available for both Android and iOS, via Bluetooth. Glow promotes sleep because it produces a warm hue of 2700k, which means it gives out little to no blue light. The Glow Light turns on when you pick it up, and it dims or brightens with gestures or when you turn it clockwise and counter-clockwise. Turn the Glow Light upside down, and it turns on or off.
