Bhutan is a place which gives you the feeling of dreamland. It is the dream to visit for every wanderlust personality. The kingdom of Bhutan is known as the Drukpa Kingdom. There are many places to visit in Bhutan. All these places are so amazing which attracts visitors to towards them. Bhutan is known for its monasteries, forts, temples, and landscapes. It contains all the beauty of the eastern Himalayas. The tourist attractions of Bhutan are the following: ThimpurnIt is the capital of Bhutan. All offices of senior government officers are here so it is important in terms of administration also. The main sites of Thimpu are religious site and have the blessings of Lord Buddha. The main attractions of Thimpu are Tashichho Dzong which is a fortified monastery and the gold statue of Lord Buddha which is 51.5 meters high. You can spot this statute easily. It is said to be the highest statue of Lord Buddha in this world. Other sites are Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang & folk Heritage Museum. ParornIt is one of the beautiful Bhutanese town situated on the western side of Thimpu. The Paro contains the one and the only international airport in Bhutan. The places to visit are National Museum of Bhutan, Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang, Kichu Lakhang, Zuri Dzong, Tiger’s Nest Monastery(Paro Taktsang), Dzongdrakha Monastry, Jangsarbu Lakhang. In all these places the Tiger’s Nest Monastery is one of the topmost sites. You have seen this monastery is many photographs of Bhutan taken by national as well as an international travel magazine. It is the iconic site of Bhutan. PunakharnIt is well known for the Punakha Dzong. It is the 17th-century fortress and one of the best-preserved architectural monuments in Bhutan and the world. It’s located at the confluence of Pho and Mo Chu rivers. The other famous nearby site is Chimi Lakhang. PhuentsholingrnIt is the border town and also known as the cross border trading center in Bhutan. It is the first place at the entrance of Bhutan and most nearby Indian border. It is the administrative central point for the Chukha district. The immigration office Pheuntsholing is the first place where every tourist has to apply for the permit to enter Bhutan from the India side. rnManas National ParkrnManas National Park is the most beautiful site. It is part of the conservation project initiated by the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India. It is the home for endangered species like Bengal Tigers, Rhinos and Elephants.
