What to look out for in Bible Teaching Teaching of Bible studies is not an easy feat, it requires planning of the lessons, the method and way of delivering the Bible’s message to listener and audience. First i believe is we must connect to them, understand them and hear them out first. Most often, people like hear about themselves their concerns, problems and probably what inspires them in their lives. They are looking for themselves. Secondly after we understand their concerns, problems and goals in life it becomes a breeze, we just handpick stories, verses from the bible. Connect their concerns with the bible. Show them the Bible is relevant to them. It is all about relevance in life actually. Thirdly, show care for them, tell them that you genuinely have an interest in them and are concerned of their wellbeing. Fourthly, take them to verses again in the bible that relates to them. Make them fall in love with the Word of God and the Bible is relevant. Bible Study Teaching requires planning As i mentioned earlier, bible study teaching requires planning. You see you deliver 52 lessons in 52 weeks a year. What happens when you run out of topics? Just kidding, the bible is full of topics for you to dig into. What is your year goal, year message to your church members? How do you ensure that for the whole year you got a great message? For instance, your topic is love for the year. You can cover Ruth for one week, songs of songs for 3 weeks and other bible chapters on love for the whole year. Then you can have summary at your last week of the year. Wow brilliant ending right.rnWhatever way you plan, make sure you have enough fuel to burn till the whole year. Again, I repeat to say your planning must be relevant to the people listening to your bible teachings. Plan for your handouts and make sure they impact the person reading it. A quality handout makes the person attending your teachings want to go every time as it is perfectly written for them and their concerns.
