Menopause is a hurdle that every woman has to go through at one point in her life. The physical and mental changes that occur are fraught with difficulty and discomfort for the woman. When the ovaries stop producing sufficient estrogen and progesterone, a host of negative effects start to develop. Females start to feel weak and listless, and their energy levels drop significantly over time. They lose interest in sexual activity and start to feel increasing bouts of sadness, depression and social anxiety. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is an excellent way to combat these symptoms. The treatment seeks to address the hormone imbalance that’s at the root of the problem through supplemental estrogen and progesterone intake. Made from plant-based sources such as soybeans and Mexican yams, the compounds are then engineered in the lab to be molecularly indistinguishable from the real thing. There are a number of delivery systems available for the treatment. Patients can opt to use creams, gels, pills or vaginal rings. It doesn’t really matter which exact method is chosen; they all provide the same benefits. The most immediate effect that the use of bioidentical hormones for menopause treatment can provide is the increased energy levels enjoyed by the patients. Women often feel stronger and livelier after just one day’s worth of the compounds. They feel less tired, sleep better at night and recover faster after periods of physical exertion. The bedroom is another place where bioidentical hormones for menopause management can drastically change things for the better. Women who’ve become disinterested in sexual intercourse find that their libidos return in full force during the course of the therapy. In addition, performance is improved as it prevents vaginal dryness, reverses secondary anorgasmia and increases sensual satisfaction. A woman’s mental state is perhaps the most affected facet during hormone withdrawal. The use of bioidentical hormones for menopause treatment can reverse any disorders that might’ve developed during the intervening period. Memory loss is prevented and mental clarity is restored as a consequence of balancing the hormone levels. In addition, menopause-related anti-social behavior, depression and general irritability are completely eliminated.
