They are disguised as smoke detectors, pen stands, clocks and plant pots. Hidden cameras are used as security cameras in industrial and commercial establishments, whereas at home they are used to monitor nannies, maids and toddlers.

A wired hidden camera is connected to DVR or digital video recorder from where it is broadcasted on a monitor. This form of broadcast is limited to one or two displays. Television reality shows use these cameras to broadcast participants’ actions to general public.
