Boat Goodies and More
A great resource I have found is Ebay Motors in its Parts and Accessories Boat page. You must be careful, however, because many sellers try to sell their boat parts at a higher price than you may find from the store. If you've done your research and prior shopping around, take a look. I've even bought many boat accessories on Ebay.
Being the frugal user, I often review West Marine and Boater's World sites first and then verify that the same products aren't available through Walmart for prices that usually can't be beat; then, I conduct a Google search on the product I seek, either specifically or generally. Knowing the prices listed at WM and BW gives you a basis to determine if the price listed online is better. Also, if you haven't ever bought on Ebay, first be sure to review all listed shipping charges before any purchase. A tactic used by sellers there involves showing a cheap price for a purchase then hammering you on shipping.
Try Cabela's or Overton's; if you're still not satisfied, then I see no reason to try a Google search for a phrase like "discount marine electronics" and then check out the results. I've had only good experiences when using these methods. They are the Amazon equivalent supplier of all such parts. Good customer service is always offered along with the lowest prices that I've ever seen on the Internet. I do most business through them.
As for Ebay, I've been selling parts through them for many years. If you're not signed up, it's easy to get the process started. Don't outprice yourself, but see if what you're selling is already there and how much people are getting; also, set your price in line with this. As I said, I've been using Ebay for years, and it hasn't failed me; it has my bank info., and I've never had a problem buying everything from a motorcycle to a toothbrush.
I fully fund and support Ebay; just be sure that the base price listed covers its posting costs. It's also wise to get shipping estimates from UPS or such. I also suggest Freight Center. They're quite customer service minded; Allie is a kind representative.
