BOC Partners has reconsidered their approach in the Automotive Advertising Industry and recently gained 14 new clients by enticing customers to use their advertising agency to launch ads during the morning and afternoon drive. Most people are confined to the car during this time and are tuned into the radio to receive the New York Metro Traffic Report or the New Jersey Traffic Report. Advertising or radio spots, during high peak traffic times, give our automotive clients more exposure and an opportunity for them to gain more business. Currently, luxury car dealerships such as Contemporary Mercedes, JMK BMW, Silver Star Motors, VIP Honda and Tarrytown Honda have all witness the benefits of this wonderful advertising opportunity. The advertising agency’s current success is a remarkable difference from the decline in the radio advertising industry from 2007 to 2009. Over that time, marketing trends showed that radio and automotive advertising experienced as much as a 22% decline. Automotive companies increase their sales because of the timing of the ad and the information provided in the advertisement. Radio stations are also willing to facilitate the interaction between potential customers and automotive dealers. The results are astounding. Currently, radio stations such as New Jersey 101.5, CBS Radio, Clear Channel Radio, Metro Traffic, WFan Sports radio 66AM, 1160AM WOBM, 94.3 The Point, Millennium Radio New Jersey, WOR NewsTalk Radio 710, 92.7 WOBM and 105.7 Hawk have all participate in hosting automotive radio spots. The partnerships only keep growing as this advertising agency makes more of a name for their company. The advertising agency continues to modify their approach to keep up with the changing times. Not only have they engaged in television, print and billboard advertising, but they are also expanding their advertising to include social media outlets. By referring potential customers to a Facebook fan page, MySpace account, YouTube Channel, Twitter, Flickr, Digg or Wikis, this advertising agency can increase their exposure and that of their clients. Social media has opened doors for reaching new audiences. Online radio advertising is another area for growth and improvement. The organization is also looking beyond traditional radio broadcasts and taking advantage of the 4.7% growth that is expected by 2013. This will give the agency an advantage as this aspect of advertising grows. Though strong, 4.7% is not as substantial as previous years' growth, according to marketing trends. Although in 2009, the total amount of Internet advertising dollars totaled $441 million, which was 12% of the total radio advertising dollars. NJ marketing and NJ advertising efforts have involved advertising partners for the Central NJ Volvo Dealer Group and LiveNation Entertainment PNC Performing Arts Center. The automotive dealers had the opportunity to become exclusive sponsors of the 2011 concert series with a chance to also advertise on an electronic billboard on Garden State Parkway. The advertising agency’s participation exemplifies their commitment to NJ marketing and NJ advertising, but no one claimed the exclusive radio spot as of yet. Instead, five sponsors include: Garden State Volvo, Volvo of Edison, Volvo of Bridgewater, Volvo of Princeton and Red Bank Volvo.
